The overall length of the Mossberg 590 Shockwave is just over 26 inches, making it fully compliant within the terms of “firearm”, this is not a short-barreled shotgun and does not fall under Class 3/NFA firearms under federal law. The Mossberg 590 Shockwave feaures dual shell extractors, ambidextrous top-mounted polymer safety, steel-to-steel lockup of barrel to receiver, twin action bars for non-binding pump action, sling swivel point on the magazine cap, and open bottom loading port for a quick visual magazine check.
